Destiny Washington (she/they), known as Lucretia McEvil, is a Bed-Stuy native, multidisciplinary artist and cultural worker currently based in Harlem. Their work explores culture, power, and emotional reality through video, prose, sound, mixed media, and community-based projects.
Rooted in the lived experience of a Black queer femme, Lucretia’s practice centers memory, resistance, tenderness, and truth. Their work bridges subculture, art, and activism to create spaces where complexity is honored and collective imagination can grow.
